Learn to lead Sports or Traditional
During 2021 we will be running two courses for climbers who already have some climbing experience but would like to progress to lead climbing either on bolts or using traditional techniques.
The aim of the courses is to build on the skills you already have. Perhaps you have learnt to top rope at an indoor climbing wall and want to learn to lead outside or don’t feel comfortable what to do at the top of a sports climb, we can show you. We can also provide short 1 day courses to fill-in any gaps you have.
If you are a small group or couple we can run a course based around your preferred dates and requirements. If you need leading practice, belay practice or placing gear and building belays, we can cover it all. We can also cover some more advanced problem solving/rope skills and abseil techniques. These courses will provide you with all the skills and confidence to lead climb.

- Selection and use of equipment
- Belay Techniques
- How to clip bolts correctly
- How to get down safely (lower from the top)
- How to place gear and build belays (Trad)
- How to retreat from a climb
- Safe abseil/rappel techniques.
- Use of guidebook and selection of routes
- Plenty of climbing in Sunny Mallorca

The three day courses are for sports or traditional Climbing.
Cost of the course is 330 Euro per person
What’s included in the course; 3 days instruction, all equipment and transport during the course.
What’s not included; Flights, accommodation.
We can advise on hotel accommodation in the area from 30 Euro per person.
